IS THIS A SCAM?

No this is not a scam, but here is some information to help you defend against scammers and fly by night companies.
1.)Ask the contacting person if they are a professional in the industry, and do they hold a professional license and ask for a license number.
2.) In most cases the company should know the realized amount.
3)You should never pay any money up front or come out of pocket or provide any personal information.
4.) You should never let a company pay you directly. Your money should be paid to you from an Attorney's trust account.
5.) ALERT no one has taken your money, amateurs blame the Government for taking your money, simply not true.

WHERE DID THE MONEY COME FROM?

All funds are unclaimed and are held by holders such as, 
estates with unknown heirs, insurance companies, mineral rights leases, stocks and bonds, overages, estates, 401ks, unclaimed government benefits, bankruptcy etc. Unfortunately, some funds are subject to forfeiture, some are escheated, and some funds are never claimed because the rightful owners will never know the funds exist.  

IS THERE A FEE?

The negotiated fee is contingent upon a successful recovery, there are no additional fees or addons, for attorneys, Pi's, genealogist, paralegals etc. 

CAN I DO THIS MYSELF?

In some cases, yes. We will walk our clients through those cases for free, but the complicated cases we handle, require professional help and professional expertise in many areas. We handle the case and assume all the risk. 

HOW LONG IS THE PROCESS?

Estimated time Depends on the type of case, it takes between 10-90 Days and only longer if a vital piece of information is missing.
